Whilst at university I’ve been very lucky to have made friends in the various offices of Student Direct, the Manchester-wide student newspaper, as well as its Liverpudlian brother, the Liverpool Student. My assignments have been wide ranging, from regular trips to the sports fields (and the not quite so famous Salford/Manchester boat race), to film premiers and cultural events. I have also contributed to special features such as one about student drug use/misuse and its effect on university life.
